Situated in a quaint part of Marsaxlokk, an area known as Tas –Silg, this villa forms part of a series of villas built concurrently in the late 70’s and early 80’s in the modernist period. A strong architectural language runs through these properties with some of the typical characteristics being a predominant use of arches and textured masonry feature walls.
Our approach was to strip the house from any accretions and restore the original proportions of the façade elements whilst ensuring that our interventions were clearly distinguishable and respectful of the original fabric.
The interior of the villa was practically entirely remodeled to ensure a more compact layout whilst reinstating a connection to the garden which surrounds the villa.
